Anonymous asked: Ah right, that's very helpful, thank you! Yeah, I've heard of Three Tides and Chopstick Tattoo and been throught their artist portfolios; I'll check out Harizanmai too! I'm going to Tokyo for a while and then along to Kyoto and Osaka, money isn't particularly a concern since the trip's costing so much anyway! It'll be my first tattoo so I'm giving it a lot...
Anonymous asked: I'm going to Japan in April and I was wondering; what's the possibility of me being able to get a tattoo over there? I'm only 18 and I understand the legal age is 20 for most things in Japan, also I'm not sure if they would reluctant to tattoo a gaijin?
robando asked: I have a full sleeve by Yushi (Korean born, Japanese apprenticed and then Master) and I haven't seen any photos of his work on here. I was wondering if you'd be interested at all in seeing some of his work. I feel he's one of the best Irezumi tattoo artists in the Western US right now.
Either way, love the blog. Keep it up!

receivethesound asked: In regards to conditions and blood diseases and stuff, I have a blood disorder and am on blood thinners and medication for life, but when I consulted my haematolist he was just like, stop taking your meds for three days before your tattoo to allow your blood to thicken. I guess if you were getting a big one that would take more than one session it might be an issue for how long you could be off...
dabid asked: If here means in the US then yeah, I agree lol I heard it's pretty expensive too, like 300-400 bones a plate.
dabid asked: Have you ever had fugu? lol
nearlya asked: ha :) had you confused with an artist or poet
Anonymous asked: May I ask if you are Male or Female? :>
Anonymous asked: Where are the darkest stars of the universe?
Anonymous asked: So I have to ask, what's with all the bondage stuff? I didn't realize it was such a big thing in Japanese art. Could you give some background?
hmsboatsix-deactivated20120101- asked: Why should one be concerned if he or she has a heart condition? Bloodloss?
visualamor asked: shige charges 200 an hour. at least thats what he charged my friend and quoted me.
Anonymous asked: I plan to get Irezumi in Japan in the future, one similar to this: http://fugu-suicide.tumblr.com/post/3173792771
One sleeve done, just that, fully inked. I wanted to know what the con's would be? Like if there are any health issues linked to this much ink on your body. In addition do you know how much this would cost me? Thank you and I love your blog~

emptygiant asked: Your tumblr is great, I can't stop looking at it. Just wanted you to know that.
tattooedfiend asked: Last questions I swear! Where do you buy all your books with Japanese tattoo work in them?
I'm trying to find some of the Horiyoshi III books.
What are your favorites?
